I am generally one of those types of people who need to feel generally confident that I am going to succeed at something before I am willing to give it a try. I try and gather as much information about the subject and then analyze and overanalyze the chances of my success before I am willing to give it a try. This may be a reason why it has taken me so long to put a blog together and why I am still playing around with the idea of providing personal training on an independent level. I have often found myself feeling “stuck” and this has kept me from moving forward on my personal goals. If my father was here I can almost here him telling me a very valuable tool that he often would share with me. He would say “fake it until you make it kid!” My father most definitively was not telling me to be fake. He, like most others did not have much respect for fake people. His message was to jump in, take chances and figure it out as you go. One of the best ways to succeed at something is to fail. Failure tells you what not to do in the future and greatly improves your chances of success in the long run. So here I am writing my blog, hoping that someone will find some value in what I have to say. Who knows maybe independent personal training services are just around the corner for me as well.
