This detox water is a refreshing way to meet your hydration needs. It is very easy to make and keeps for about 3 days in the refrigerator.

To make one serving of detox water combine..

  • Three to five slices of cucumber unpeeled if wax free 
  • Half a lemon cut in slices
  • A few sprigs of mint leaves (fresh is best but dried mint can be used)
  • One-inch piece of sliced peeled ginger
  • 24 ounces of ice-cold water.

Be sure to wash all ingredients thoroughly. You can use a commercial “veggie-wash” or make your own by lightly spraying your fruit and vegetables with white vinegar before thoroughly rinsing. Allow water to sit at least 30 minutes for all the nutrients to be released. You may want to strain before drinking especially if you used dried mint.
