Here is a fun way to complete a total body strength workout inspired by the holiday season. Just like the traditional song “Twelve Days of Christmas” You will complete the exercises in the following order.
- On the First Exercise of Christmas you will hold a 5 second plank. (I know that doesn’t seem like much but you will be increasing it by 5 seconds each round and in the end you will have held plank for a total of 390 seconds or 6 and 1/2 minutes. That’s Impressive!
- On the Second Exercise of Christmas you will complete 2 push-ups and then hold plank for 10 seconds.
- On the Third Exercise of Christmas you will complete 3 inchworms, 2 push-up and hold plank for 15 seconds.
- On the Forth Exercise of Christmas you will complete 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 20 seconds.
- On the Fifth Exercise of Christmas you will complete 5 Overhead Presses, 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 25 seconds.
- On the Sixth Exercise of Christmas you will complete 6 Alternating Lunges, 5 Overhead Presses, 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 30 seconds.
- On the Seventh Exercise of Christmas you will complete 7 Lateral Raises, 6 Alternating Lunges, 5 Overhead Presses, 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 35 seconds.
- On the Eight Exercise of Christmas you will complete 8 Russian Twists, 7 Lateral Raises, 6 Alternating Lunges, 5 Overhead Presses, 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 40 seconds.
- On the Ninth Exercise of Christmas you will complete 9 Leg Raises, 8 Russian Twists, 7 Lateral Raises, 6 Alternating Lunges, 5 Overhead Presses, 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 45 seconds.
- On the Tenth Exercise of Christmas you will complete 10 Overhead Triceps, 9 Leg Raises, 8 Russian Twists, 7 Lateral Raises, 6 Alternating Lunges, 5 Overhead Presses, 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 50 seconds.
- On the Eleventh Exercise of Christmas you will complete 11 Bicep Curls, 10 Overhead Triceps, 9 Leg Raises, 8 Russian Twists, 7 Lateral Raises, 6 Alternating Lunges, 5 Overhead Presses, 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 55 seconds.
- On the Twelfth Exercise of Christmas you will complete 12 Squats, 11 Bicep Curls, 10 Overhead Triceps, 9 Leg Raises, 8 Russian Twists, 7 Lateral Raises, 6 Alternating Lunges, 5 Overhead Presses, 4 sit-ups, 3 inchworms, 2 push-ups and hold plank for 60 seconds.
