This workout alternates between isotonic and isometric exercises to give you more bang for your buck.
Isotonic exercise refers to any activity that involves the motion of a joint and the contraction of muscles. During these exercises, the length of the muscle changes as it contracts and moves the joint, resulting in movement.
Isometric exercise is an exercise involving the static contraction of a muscle without any visible movement in the angle of the joint.
By combining these two types of exercise you will challenge your muscles in different ways and strengthen both types of muscle fibers.
You can always add weights to the lunges, wall sit, glute bridge, hollow hold and side plank to make this workout more difficult. You also can hold the isometric exercises longer than 30 seconds if you can. Feel free to repeat this entire workout as many times as you have time for.
