Honest, practical real-life fitness tips for staying consistent in your 40s, 50s, and beyond. Browse every post below, or pick a topic to narrow it down.
Real-life fitness tips by topic
Everything on the blog is sorted into five topics, so you can find what you need quickly. Move covers strength, cardio, yoga, and my monthly workout plans. Nourish covers simple nutrition, easy recipes, and my monthly 6-day meal plans with grocery lists. Mindset is about building habits that stick and getting back on track after a setback. Recovery & Sleep covers mobility, stretching, and better sleep habits, because rest is part of the plan. Real Life is where I share honest stories about fitting health into a busy life.
New here? If you keep starting over, begin with Mindset. If you want something to do today, open the latest monthly workout in Move. Also, if you want less stress at dinner time, try a meal plan from Nourish. Whichever you pick, you can use the topic buttons above at any time to narrow things down.
You don’t need to read everything at once. Instead, pick one post, try one idea this week, and come back for more. Small steps add up, and consistency matters far more than perfection. As a result, you stop restarting and start building momentum that lasts. Finally, give yourself credit for showing up.
These real-life fitness tips come from my own routine as a trainer and fitness class instructor, and from what I see with clients every week. I write them for people who are tired of starting over. For that reason, you will not find extreme plans or perfection here. Want honest advice, monthly workouts, and practical tools in your inbox every week? Get the weekly tips.
